In fact, we want EACH ONE of them to see success.
However in real life nine out of ten projects/ideas will never see the day light.
Most of them will never come together for different reasons, such as : not enough funding(or lack of it whatsoever), wrong timing, different priorities, etc.

BUT what you have to realize is: the failure is just a part of the game...
there are wins and there are losses. no need to kill yourself over your failures.
Each famous person had to go through numerous failures in order to claim fame and riches.

If I would suggest only one thing to a person who is interested in entrepreneurship, it would go like this:

Failure Is a Part Of The Game!

Stay Fresh Guys.

Peace,

Mr_Kensington

Blog of the days that passed

Monday:

Two venture capitalists I've met on monday taught me that:

"Negotiation is NO luck!!!!"

One of them was from Belgium and the other one from Netherlands.
They were attending the Berkeley's Senior VC training. Pretty cool dudes who are doing big things. Both started off building companies. Do you understand how fundamental this quote is? It makes me go WOW!

HOWEVER, just reading this two quotes will not change your life. BUT, if you make them part of your personal philosophy, these quotes will change your life.

and as Kaney West puts it in Go Hard, by Dj Khaled, "If you want it, then get at it!"

Peace,

Al

PS: Lupe Fiasco wants 60Gs for a show. The way we operate in our daily routine.

Personally, I am from a second world country, Ukraine, and most of my Russian people, even though they do provide and receive services, do things by themselves( with their own hands.) For example they get up in the morning and go to work like anyone in US does, but during the lunch time they gotta go grub groceries from the market, because there is gonna be none after they get off work. So the life, survival, teaches you responsibilities and being responsible.

But, today it kinda got to me that this nation is really used to have someone else doing things like changing oil, shopping, delivering, washing and whatever-other-service out there. Even though all those people DO pay (usually) for all the services which are provided to them, they DO loose that little link to learning greater survival responsibilities.

Now, to make a link to the financial crisis, think how we are dependent on this great pyramid (Government.) We want someone else to fix it for us, even though we might have to pay for it a great deal of money. Instead of cutting personal spending and electing officials who will cut certain, inefficient social welfares, we charge more and more on the credit cards and get bigger and bigger mortgages. Ohh and the debt clock in New York is gone too. (tell you the truth, they ran out of digits, but I didn't tell you that)

Cheers,

Alex P

The Big Squeez

So many people out there are trying to tap in to the various industries. WHY DO YOU TRY TO DO THAT!? THAT IS FOOLISH THING TO DO!!!

Every one is trying to squeeze their shit in the market that already overwhelmed with shit. Why do you do that? and then, when you finely get to know the rules of the game, which is another big problem with this concept of merging in to the existing market, you are just another shit-squeezing hustler. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with hustlers and they do make a dallar. But, they most likely not going to get noticed in this giant pile. Now about the rule issue. The thing about all the dreamers/inventors is that before they come in the game, they imagen how they would do it, which is totally different from how you do it in the game. AND I'LL TELL YOU, when they get to know the rules, there is going to be a bunch of people who will say "No, you can't really do that" or " You know, you just gotta consent to this thing, because the shit you are thinking of is not really sound." But people saw world in different color and now you made it sooo black and white. Rules are harsh, thats why you want your own rules.

So what am I really saying is: Create your own market, your own dot next to a huge circle and don't mind what "they" say. The market/industry/culture that will work by your rules which are superior to the rules of industry next to yours! I know, you are looking at the big market and an idea of making a quick dollar looks real good at first. But, flip this market heads down, restructure the way shit runs down the pipes, bigger pipes, and overtake what used to be the big circle next to your dot. This way there are more benefits for everyone (hopefully).

(some people might call it a sub-market in a larger scale market, but i guess it only depends on the way you look at it.)

peace out,

Alexander P.

why I would rather give my phone number instead of my email address.

People don't realize how they give away information with their Email address. I can definitely see how people will drive slower when the gas prices climb way beyond $4 mark, especially when the commute distance in the Bay Area on average is 20 miles (one way) or more (for some - significantly more).
I would love to see some day-to-day data of gas prices and highway accidents in, lets say, bay area presented on the same graph. I'm pretty sure that we would see that, while the gas price goes up, the number of highway accidents goes down. Maybe, this correlation would not be significant, but i think it's there.
I would be greatly surprised if the number of accident went up right along with the gas prices. This fact would be an indicator of irrational consumer behavior, for sure...

Mr_K

Yo

Hey there everybody.
My name is Alex P. and I will post my ideas, usually entrepreneurial, and stuff I think of in this Blog.

Cheers,

Alex P. aka Mr_Kensington
